Designer's Comments

The PL 41 has developed over a number of years in close cooperation with a client who plans to use the boat for extensive cruising based in Southern Norway.

We originally started with a PL 46, then when the 39 footer was developed he thought that it looked big enough with some modifications. Eventually, we arrived at this configuration, with accommodation divided fore and aft by the central cockpit. Forward is a single stateroom and split head/shower. Aft is the day area, with a large galley, convertible dinette, small head and workshop off the engine room. The single four cylinder Perkins engine is midships, just aft of 630 US gallons of fuel providing enough range to cross the Atlantic on her own bottom.
